SUPPORT |
Joe and Chris set off from C3 Church at Oxford Falls on Saturday 6th March 2010.
Under Police escort from several Highway Patrol cars, they were joined by a convoy of riders and support crews who travelled with them on the first leg of their journey from Sydney to Coffs Harbour.
Many family, friends and supporters were waiting along the way to wish them well on their travels.
We will continue to update this site to keep you updated on the journey.
Big Blue Ride UPDATE:
Harley Davidson US has loaned Joe a Electra Glide Classic for the US leg of the Big Blue Ride.
The US leg of the Big Blue Ride started on 19th July from Harley Davidson Europe Head Quarters in Carson Los Angeles
Joe is currently in San Francisco and will meet with the founder of the Inspire Foundation Jack Heath and the rest of the Inspire Foundation team in the US.
This is our campaign to:
Promote awareness of Youth Mental Health, Youth Depression and Youth Suicide around the world and promote the Inspire Foundations' Reach Out program.
To get 'Men' talking about their issues; in particular depression.
'This is an invitation to motorcycle riders, especially HOG members, of the world to join me in this adventure'.
It makes no difference to me what what cultural background, religious beliefs or political views are, whether you ride a Harley or Honda, BMW or Yamaha, Kawasaki or Suzuki, Triumph or Ducati or a Victory, be it a Cruiser, Tourer or Road bike, as long as you can throw a leg over the back of a motorcycle, that is all that is of interest to me.
If we can help some young people prolong or improve their quality of life and make men feel better about themselves or improve their general wellbeing and make friendships along the way we will consider this mission a success.
"We invite you to join us on this motorcycle adventure, it promises to be exciting, challenging and possibly a little dangerous, but most of all rewarding and fun".
It would be great if this could be make this the largest continuous motorcycle convoy traveling around the world.
Check out the Big Blue Ride Blog for more information on this matter.
