Inspire Foundation

 

Founded in 1996, in Australia, the Inspire Foundation is a not for profit organization with a vision to help millions of young people lead happier lives. Inspire have achieved a 56% reduction rate in youth suicide in Australia with their Reachout.com program. Now they are taking the program to the world with presences established in the US and Ireland, their platform for reaching Europe. The program is unique and with a real track record of success other countries are welcoming their presence.

 

The Inspire Foundation is a supporter and beneficiary of the Big Blue Ride. Drawing on my experience from the Ozzie Road Trip which involved me in 500 grass roots conversations with community groups, indigenous groups, and individuals struggling with mental health issues, including depression and suicide, I hope that Ray and I can take this message to the world and make a difference.

 

Just as I did with the Ozzie Road Trip, my objective with the Big Blue Ride is to inspire people with a greater level of awareness that they can help people in need of support. By making them aware of what to look for, what to do if they suspect someone is depressed or suicidal, I and Ray hope to be instrumental in saving lives. Our campaign aims also to alert sufferers to the fact that help is available and they are not alone.

C3 Church  

 

C3Church is a vibrant Australian based Christian organization with a national and international network of over 250 churches worldwide. They have an active international community reach program to support people in need, including a powerful program to aid youth and men to deal with a wide range of problems from drinking and depression to sexual issues and violence, the effects of divorce and financial hardship on their relationships and family life. The Synergies with the objectives of the Big Blue Ride and with C3’s mission to help these groups is obvious.

 

C3 church communities number in the thousands and are composed of families from over 30 countries around the world. Ray and I will be visiting approximately 20 of C3’s churches in our travels and speaking to congregations and men’s groups attached to these Churches. Progress on the Big Blue Ride will be tracked by C3 Church both locally and internationally to keep members abreast of our adventures. C3 Church has an active international television presence that reaches millions of viewers every week.
